ART NOT ONLY FOR ART'S SAKE
I Art Jo'burg Newsletter
2011 saw the birth of I ART WOODSTOCK / I ART SOWETO, an art for community enrichment initiative which resulted in the painting of 22 murals in Soweto and Woodstock. In 2012, I ART JOBURG imported international artists Remed, Martha Cooper. Steven Espo Powers, Roa and local artists Cameron Platter and Falko to the Maboneng Precinct of Jo'burg where they engaged in a community arts project of epic proportions.
This newsletter, a website, several exhibitions, art walks and parties were rolled out in September 2012 courtest of the lovely people at /A WORD OF ART and /ANDPEOPLE based in Woodstock, Cape Town.
